Terrible customer service.
So this is my first (and last) experience with Globeflight.
I contacted Globeflight to quote for a parcel to shipped to the USA.
I dealt with a lady by the name of Hazel, who I admit was friendly and helpful in the beginning. I gave a full description of what I wanted to send and provided the dimensions. I then received a quote and it was affordable so I went with it.
I gave the delivery address to be California, USA. After collection I noticed the waybill stated delivery to California, United States, UK. So the parcel was bound to the UK. Although this was quite frustrating it was quickly rectified by Globeflight.
The problem came in over a week later I received a call from a lady named Pepper. She advised that they could not carry out my delivery as they dont ship precious metals (the items I was shipping were made from silver). I stated that this was frustrating and I gave a full description of what I wanted to send before quotation and they didn't note it as a problem then. They should have noted this from the beginning.
The parcel was then returned to me with quite a bit of time now wasted. I then received communications from a very short spoken lady named Jane who advised that they will be charging me collection and return for the parcel. I was charged about R250 each way, therefore, in total I paid R500 when the mistake was made on Globeflights part. I was charge R500 just to have my time wasted.
I have sent a number of emails to the respective personnel and no one seems to care. I get very short ill mails which have a "it is what it is, accept it" approach to them. They just stated that that's their policy. My argument is if I gave a full description of the goods and they stated they could ship it from the beginning why must I be liable.
Terrible customer service from all involved.
