Unauthorised Debit

I joined this online personal column and paid my subscription (One subscription). After advising this company that I no longer wanted to continue my membership / subscription timeously, i found that they had gone ahead and just debited my credit card with the following subscription even after I had sent them an advice (online email) requesting that they cancel my subscription well in advance of the cut off date.<br> I have subsequently contacted them by email (no telephone or other contact information is available?) only to receive two or three replies advising that they never received my cancellation and therefore they are entitled to debit my credit card account for renewal of my subscription without reverting back. I find this most unacceptable, as their website does not provide for any acknowledgement or confirmation that they have received my request to unsubscribe.<br> Of even more frustration, I found that their site was not effective or helpful in any way to myself and therefore derived no benefit from subscribing. I have threatened them with legal action (which I will be pursuing) and with reporting on this site, but they are not remotely responsive and unwilling to refund me.
