KEXIN GAS STOVE

<p>We have been avid caravanners for the past 40 odd years and recently decided to buy a small caravan type gas stove as a back up in our home. We found a very nice Kexin Gas stove at Camp and Climb but when we used the oven for the very first time to make a small roast we found that my stainless steel roasting dish had been burnt blue in one spot, a mark that we cannot remove. This is where the flame, which is situated at the back of the oven was in contact with the dish all the time. <br />We phoned Camp and Climb and they asked us to bring the stove and pan in to them which we did. They took photographs and sent it their rep “Ivan”. We also spoke to him on the phone and he gave me the telephone number of Mr Ainslee Sumner, the Managing Director of Global Imports and Exports in East London. We took photos of the damage and of the various components i.e. burning flame etc etc to enable them to see where the fault was as to our minds this was not normal. This was emailed to them on the 5th July and the reply then was a curt "well get back to you"<br />Yesterday (5th August) we emailed the company again and asked what was happening as we had not received any feedback. The reply was "All the information has been sent to China –waiting for a answer but quite honestly the unit am I correct does work?" (copied and pasted from Mr Sumners email)<br />Obviously it works but not correctly. We wrote back saying that it was normal as it was ruining my cooking equipment. He then rep**** that "This is total normal for gas" (Bad grammar and no etiquette)<br />If we were inexperienced in using gas stoves and ovens we might have believed this nonsense. BUT we would like to warn people wanting to buy a gas stove not to buy the Kexin as it might just have the same problem and you would not get anywhere in resolving the problem.</p> <p> </p>
