Des Palm from Global Construction Management absconded from work that they were paid for.

Des Palm from Global construction Management undertook a job to repair gutters at our residential units. A large part of the contract description was to clean and seal gutters with a mastic sealant.

Des is very persuasive and presentable and assured us everything was done in order to receive his payment. When the first rains came there were many leaks. On closer inspection this part of the job had not been done. Des assured everyone repeatedly that he would complete the work. Over many months he gave a range of excuses such as inclement weather, a broken vehicle, a funeral and other work commitments. I personally paid to repair some of the critical areas. Des assured me he would reimburse me and even requested my account details. This never happened. Finally Des absconded. He stopped answering phone calls.

After reviews Des' only response has been that we should seal the gutters ourselves. This is despite his contract explicitly stating a mastic sealant would be used.
