Poor Customer Service - GLM Wood Supplies
I purchased saligna wood planks from GLM Wood Supplies for a decking project. Upon collecting the order on the agreed date, it was immediately clear that a significant portion of the wood was cracked and visibly damaged well beyond the industry-expected 10% allowance for waste.
When I raised my concerns, rather than take responsibility or offer any form of meaningful resolution, they chose to shift the blame onto me. Their reasoning? That I had supposedly left the wood untreated and exposed for too long, a claim I was able to disprove with clear photographic evidence taken upon delivery and offloading at the project site. Despite this, they remained dismissive.
I escalated the matter to the owners in good faith, expecting accountability and professionalism. Instead, I was met with silence. To be ignored after raising a legitimate quality concern is not just bad service, it’s deeply disrespectful.
As a paying customer, I expect the product I purchase to match its description and quality promise. I work hard for my money. It is unacceptable that a supplier takes payment but refuses to stand by the quality of their goods.
GLM Wood Supplies has demonstrated a lack of integrity and poor customer service. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with them particularly if you're a small-scale builder or homeowner. You deserve better than to be left with substandard materials and no support.
