Hotel problems

<p>On arriving at Gelnshiel Hotel for a 2 night stay (50% deposit paid by EFT), they could not find a key for the room prepared for us. Offered us an alternative room which was cold, damp and dark. No TV working at the hotel at all. No Wi-Fi working at all. No manger or duty manager on site; not possible to contact them via the hotel according to the Front Desk.</p> <p>We refused to accept the room and asked for a refund of the deposit and the other 50% which had by then been paid by credit card. This was agrreed to in writing on the hotel letterhead by the Front Desk</p> <p> </p> <p>Afetr 1 month no payment had been received and we are now approaching the Small Calims Court.</p> <p> </p> <p>The hotel is now closed for refurbishment for 1 year, but this is not the experinec expecetd from a 4 star hotel.</p> <p> </p>
