Petros came to give us a quote on Sunday to surface our driveway with tarmac. Three guys came, tape measure etc etc. Said it would cost R19K. Will start Monday and finish Tuesday. Came on Monday, started sweeping a bit to prepare etc then asked for a 70% deposit as they need to get the material. We wanted to do an EFT and they insisted on cash as this will guarantee a \discount". I started smelling a rat. We then paid them 50%. They left and then advised that the mix that the supplier is doing is with big stones and this will not work with us"
