Jerome Sives from Glassmen Epping took measurements and issued me with a quotation for aluminium doors. A week later he mailed to inform me about a pending increase from his suppliers and that I should pay a deposit before his supplier goes ahead with their increase. If I did not go ahead during this period, then the cost for the job would increase. I had to pay a 70% deposit before any work could be completed. After payment Jerome informed me that he misplaced his telephone in his brothers car and that's the reason he did not return my calls. Later his colleague Justin's mother's house burnt down and that Justin had a family member in hospital after a serious accident. Justin appears to be the foreman in charge of jobs being completed. Both Justin and Jerome are not responding to any calls or mail correspondence. I visited their business site in Epping and have been informed that the workshop has been closed for several months if not longer. The Google reviews for Glassmen Epping list people reporting the same experience whereby they requested a 70% deposit and never delivered any goods or returned telephone calls.
