Poor quality product and poor unreliable service!

We decided to put splash backs in our kitchen. We found Glass By Design by searching for splash backs on Google.

Firstly, they require full upfront payment for the goods which we made a mistake of doing. Their website stated lead time of approx 2 weeks, We placed the order and paid in Sept 2017 and after plenty frustrating emails and calls, they came and only partially installed in Jan 2018. Their website mentioned professional white glove installation which is absolutely not true. There was no so-called white gloves involved during the installation. In fact, where they installed the splash back they scratched the cupboards which are still scratched today. During the partial installation, they apologized profusely for the delays etc and even offered to do a splash back for our scullery for free. Again after many frustrating emails and calls, they finally came at the end of Feb to finish the installation with some form of Perspex material vs glass that they convinced us would look the same which could not be further from the truth.

When a customer waits so long for a product, at the very least we expected that it would be worth the wait.

The finished product ultimately doesn't look good and a clear distinction can be seen between the glass splash back and Perspex. I emailed them saying that we were not happy with the way it looks and they told me they will get back to me. We are now in mid-May and haven't heard from them regarding the poor quality product and work as well as the "free" scullery splash back.

Overall very poor and I would highly recommend against using Glass by Design as they do not deliver a high quality product or the professional service they claim on their website.
