STAY AWAY ! BETTER YET-WARN YOUR FRIENDS!

ON THE 18th SEPTEMBER, I HAVE SEND MY SON IN LOW TO HAVE A CHIP IN THE WINDSCREEN REPAIRED.
THAT TOOK PLACE AROUND 4 OCLOCK. THE PERSON DOING THE REPAIR HAS TAKEN ABOUT 5 MINUTES
TO ATTEND TO THE CRACK-HEATED IT WITH A LIGHTER AND WAS IN A HURRY TO GO SOMEWHERE.
HE HAS NOT EVEN COVERED IT WITH A SOME SORT OF PROTECTIVE STRIP TO ALLOW CURING PROCESS
TO TAKE PLACE ! 5 MINUTES ! HE HAS NOT EXPLAINED ANY RISK OF CRACK RE-SURFACING, NOR HAS HE
ASKED TO SIGN ANY ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK ACCEPTANCE ! MY SON IN LAW, HAS NOT EVEN MADE
IT HOME ( 2km ) BEFORE A PREVIOUSLY TINY CHIP HAS SPREAD TO A SIGN OF R2 COIN!
WE HAVE COVERED IT WITH A STICKY TAPE OVERNIGHT .
I HAVE SPOKEN WITH A MANAGER-CHERYL, WHO AT ALL COST TRIED TO CONVINCE US THAT THE PROCEDURE WAS DONE CORRECTLY AND THE BLAME HAS TO LIE
WITH EITHER OUR DRIVING ABILITIES OR CONDITION OF THE ROADS ! ANYTHING BUT SHODDY JOB
HER STAFF HAS DONE. SHE HAS SHOWN ME A REPAIR FORM WHICH STIPULATES THE RISK AND SHOULD BE SIGNED BY CUSTOMER PRIOR TO REPAIR.
i HAVE ASKED HER TO SHOW ME A INCIDENT RELEVANT FORM SIGNED BY MY SON-SHE SAID THAT THEY ONLY RECEIVED THEM LATE YESTERDAY ! SHE SAID THE CHANCES OR FIXING IT ARE SLIM AND I SHOULD BUY A NEW!

Hello dericktober,

Thank you for your feedback, we have investigated and will put measures in place to ensure that clients are aware of the risks associated with chip repairs.
Due to the nature and purpose of a chip repair no guarantee or warranty can be offered on a chip repair, we do however have a refund offer in the event that a chip repair is not successful. This refund is either offered as a credit off the value of a windscreen replacement or as a cash refund.
Please accept our apologies for this misunderstanding, and will take the necessary steps to avoid a miscommunication of this sort in the future.
