Poor Service Gassfit Umngeni

on the 26th of may I called Umngeni Road Glassfit as the back wind screen of my car hundai IX35 was smashed,i was assisted by Selby who then advised me that the window will be fitted on that following weekend as the glass was going to be shipped from JHB.They advised me to come through at 9 the following morning 26 May 2017.

on the 26 Of May2017 at 09:45 i was assisted by a guy named Edward who told me that the windscreen was not there as the company who was supped to deliver was apparently on strike,My Question to him was that why as the client i was not informed prior to me viting Glassft otherwise i would not have wasted my tome and petrol going there khowing that i would not get any assistance.the responce i got from edward was apsolutely shocking as he told me that there is nothing he can do.Hepromised to call me as soosn as the gflass arrives but he did not.

I called him several times to follow up, I asked to speak top selby but he was not available as he was on sick leave, when he came back from sickleave he was also shoked that my glass was still no fitted,He made arrangements on the 29th of may for my glass to be fitted and that was sorted on the 30th of may.

He then advised me take my car to gateway glassfit to sort out the smash and grab,On the 5th of June I calledn Umngeni to find out if i need to make an appointment for the smash and grab at gateway.Edward told me I dont need an appointment,I just need to go and see the Manager there to assist. The manager there sent me away as they were fully booked therefore i was supposed to make an appointment of which i had asked Eward in the first place.

The service i have recived as a paying customer is absoluyely pathetic. Thanks to Selby for his servive cause i feel like the only time i got help was when he came back from sick leave

The manager from gateway was also helpful bu there was also heplful regarding the situation.

Good Day

We truly apologize for the very poor service that you have received at our Umgeni branch. The poor branch communication led to unnecessary delays that should have not occurred in the first place. Edward was the one who was supposed to make the necessary arrangements for the smash and grab to ensure that you do not waste your time going up and down. We will ensure that such should not happen again in future. We always strive to give all of our clients the best service.

Thank you
