Glasfit making my life a nightmare
This year in June I had a crack on my windscreen and put a claim to my insurance (Budget insurance) for a new one, the claim was approved and they sent glasfit to fit the windscreen for me,m. Beginning of December it starting raining and I realized water drooling into the car on my side to the pedals, you can imagine how dangerous that must be, I took my car to Mercedes Benz to have it checked, the first thing the technician asked me, without me telling them about it was if I had my windscreen replaced recently I said yes and he told me that’s the problem . I then called the insurance company, they referred me to glasfit branch in Vanderbijlpark. I went there and the lady by the name of Natasha’s admitted that sometimes it happens that the windscreen is not properly installed and one can only realize when it’s raining. I was told to come back the following day. When I got there the next day, priple who were checking my car told me there are blocked pipes in my fairly new car, I bought my Merc brand new last Nov, that the windscreen is fine. I then went back to Mercedes Benz, they stripped the car and did a proper diagnosis even poured water where the windscreen is leaking to prove that there’s nothing with the car. They even wrote a report for my insurance, I was charged R2000 for this by Mercedes for f ST nothing that could have been avoided had glasfit just fixed their mess. I followed up after a week with the insurance, I was told Glasfit head office was supposed to get hold of me but they didn’t, an agent at the insurance company managed to link me with someone from Glasfit head office who told me they sent an email to the owner of a branch where I took my car, and that I’ll just have to wait for his response since he’s on holiday and thru can’t get hold of him, mind you my car is getting damaged from all the rain and these people don’t care at all. Pleas help me....
