Damaged car battery
Good day

I took my car on the 01 July 2015 this month for an insurance assessment. The consultant then advised me that he needed to repair the windscreen before he can pass the car as there were stone chirps on the windscreen.

He the connected the equipment directly onto the battery instead of using their own in house equipment.
When I arrived home the battery ended up being being dead.

I had to then then go to a battery fitment centre and they had to fit a new battery.
The battery was fine until I took the car to Glassfit as they damaged the cells by using their equipment on it.
The battery was only over a year old and was working perfectly.
Glassfit has not taken responsibility as they used their equipment which damaged my battery.
They were using a mobile unit equipment and I went to their facility.
They should have used equipment that requires it to be connected to their facility power source..
I am going to advise everyone I know that they must not use Umgeni Glasssfit as I have now suffered this loss as I am a pensioner and had to borrow money from my daughter to pay for the new battery.
