I saw a ad on Marketplace Facebook of a 2007 Jaguar 4.2 for sale. I was interested and had a Whatsup conversation with the owner. He told me that this car was his property and was in excellent condition also insisted that parts for this car is freely available. He was so convincing and i believed that he would not run in 2 disabled people looking for a good automatic car with their little savings. He saw us and he put himself forward as a decent business man. We transfered the money and signed his agreement which we did not really read because of trust. We requested the service book from the MV and Daan told us that when he bought this car he did not receive a service history book with and because car was in excellent condition the book did not worry him. He offered to put the car through roadworthy and register on my name. The car was delivered to me by his son. The first trip we took to sort out the license disk we noticed that the car overheats in town . I took it to my mechanic and he showed us that the car had no thermostat in and that the thermostat housing was cracked and also glued at some point. I phoned Glamcor and informed them of fault on this car and his answer was remember i gave you discount so we dont take responsibility for any defaults that was about 3 days after delivery. He then also blocked me on WhatsApp so he could not be contacted.We tried to replace this part and guess what parts for that car in RSA in non existent. I had to order the part from the UK. The part arrived 3weeks later so no use of this MV for 3 weeks. I in the meantime landed at the license department and then realized how this man **** to me. The car was registered as a rebuilt a code 3. In the piece of paper that was signed i actually bought a s**** car and they dont give any guarantees as i m buying this car as stripping for parts. So i suspect he **** to me about this car from the word go.If he mentioned this to me i would never have bought this car. I could not believe that this was happening to me. In the time i bought this car since end of October i drove it ones otherwise its in garage for repairs. I m considering legal action against Glamcor Pretoria motorsales. Yes he did sell me a scap car with a smile on his face. Believe me he did me in but he will regret it one day.
