Gimmick's disappointing service
I received the most unpleasant and easily avoidable service from Gimmick Print and embroidery in Goodwood on Monday the 4th of June. I brought them 4 shirts to be screen printed on Thursday and asked them if they could be completed by Friday, they agreed and I gave them my contact number followed by my girlfriends email address so that they could send the invoice. I also took a business card so that my girlfriend could email them the content that they needed to place on the shirts. Friday came and I heard nothing from them, my girlfriend received an email from them at 14:02pm to say that the shirts where ready for collection and they added in this email that their business closes at 3pm on a Friday... Now i am sorry but say what you want I have proof of the email that was sent undermining these staff members verbal commentary when I spoke to them on the 4th of June stating that I was informed and that I should have known when their business closes on a Friday, they also included that they NEVER contact customers via cellphone (after I gave them my contact no so that when they were complete I could go and collect them since we needed them that weekend hence the urgency for the shirts). My dad was also there at 16:05 and there was no body there, he confirmed to me that they closed at 15:00 that is the only way I found out with a small page on their window of their trading hours. I tried to get a personal cell number so that I could try and retrieve these shirts some how, The entire weekend was ruined for my girlfriend and her team as they didn't have their outfits for the dress up part of the tournament which we both took part in this weekend past, I was most embarrassed as I promised her and reassured her that this company would DEFINITELY get the shirts done. The weekend came and went and when I went to the business on Monday I spoke to Daphney who sent the 14:02pm email on Friday and told her that since the service they provided was so disheartening I wish to take my shirts without paying for them, she then proceeded to tell me that I knew the closing time on Friday (I asked them to provide proof of that) which then attracted another staff member who told me out right that I am upset and because I am upset I won't admit I am in the wrong, I proceeded to tell her I have proof of an email sent on Friday only providing me with the time then and also told them a mariette had sent an email stating I knew about this closing time on Monday morning ( a bit late don't you think) where she added the closing times (all of this is on record on emails that myself and my girlfriend have), they then proceeded to call a third lady out from the back to plea the case once more, by then I had lost it with them since now there were three woman who were just telling me I am wrong and they are right and told them to keep the tops as this is going nowhere and that I would simply use social media and my word of mouth as I live in the goodwood area to give their business a bad name as and I quote this is BullS***, the one lady then proceeded to laugh and say, 'well go to social media because you swore at me and you cant do that', (As if customers or people in general NEVER swear). I then carried on swearing some more as they wouldn't even unlock the gate to let me me out until i threatened her by saying I would kick the F***ing gate down (HELLO you cant keep someone without their consent), the one lady proceeded to open for me and while I was leaving the one lady still continued to laugh and comment about me and what I was going to do... Absolute shocking service and shocking behaviour. I had left and as angry as I was, but I was NOT going to leave it at that, I informed my girlfriend of what had happened and some few minutes later I received an email from her which this business sent telling her how I was extremely rude to them and I am never welcome there again, I swore at them (OF COURSE I DID, three ladies bullying a customer and you not allowing them to leave and I am in the wrong for swearing, come on...) and how if my mother could hear my language she would cry and I was "flying overseas".... GIMMICK you are an absolute SHOCKER!!! I live in goodwood and spoke about the goodwood area IF you want I can bring my mom along and you can see if she would cry plus ask her about me going overseas because I'm not going anywhere. You are an embarrassment to the clothing industry and to the people of the goodwood area, I am a firm believer of helping out the little guys but my word not giving a customer 4 shirts with print on the for free because of your lack of communication seems very disappointing. I still cannot wrap my head around the possible owner or manager of this business laughing at a customer.... Well done Gimmick the jokes on you
Hi Simon
There is a saying that the "client is always right" and I agree with it, but there is an exception to this rule. Simon Gordon, you are the exception.... Please see my response to your outburst and false accusations:
1. Was the client Simon informed (like all other clients of Gimmick when they place an order on Thursdays) about Gimmick's trading hours on a Friday? - YES
2. Was the order ready for collection on Friday as promised: - YES
3. Did the client have a business card of Gimmick - if he would like to follow the progress of his order - YES
4. Was client or his girlfriend notified that order is ready for collection - YES
5. First call that I received from Armed response company about a client that is flying overseas and needs his tops, was after 18:00 Friday.
6. Was Simon extremely rude, unreasonable and used foul language on Monday - YES
7. Was Client so cross that he left his tops in store, "saying that we may keep it as it is useless to him now".
If there is one thing that I will not tolerate - it is verbal abuse towards my ALL female staff - I know that in today's day and age it is not acceptable to intimidate and verbally abuse women.
Simon - so as per my email to your girlfriend Bianca - please do not visit Gimmick Print again if you can not behave yourself. Bianca is more than welcome. Thank you for collecting the order on Tuesday afternoon and making FULL payment.
Kind regards
Mariette
