Rent to own ***** by CARGET and GIG MOTORS, and their other partners

This Dealership commits ***** with CARGET . They sell faulty vehicles to unsuspecting customers. I bought a car from GIG motors in Edenvale and I drove to Durban.Carget buys faulty vehicles and they sell them for CARGET.

Before I bought the vehicle I test drove it and it didn't have enough power for an 2.2dci and the wheel bearing was whining and Sales man said if there was anything wrong with vehicle Their workshop would pick it up.

Immediately after I picked the vehicle up I drove to Durban. The next day I drove back towing a trailer about 500Kg load, and the vehicle was battling to pull the load. Wheel bearing noise began to intensify.

When I got to Mooiriver I had to stop, the noise was unbearable. Next morning I had it checked up and I had to renew the front wheel bearing. GIG motors is still refusing to refund me.

I then carried on with my journey, after I drove past Harrismith the Turbo gave up. GIG motors didn't care how I got back to JHB. They were not interested, I then begged the vehicle to get back to JHB at 20Km/hour towing trailer from Harrissmith.

I took it back to dealership to get it checked up and they told me they found dirty diesel in the vehicle and I filled up at Montrose Shell Ultra City which supplies 13000litres of diesel a day, and I was the only one who got dirty diesel. And their workshop mechanic didn't want me to see what was on the diagnostic tool screen. I was told to change filters and fill up diesel the problem will go away and I did that.

After a couple of days I took the vehicle elsewhere for diagnosis and I found out turbo gave up. When I contacted GIG motors they were ignoring my calls and messages.

I asked CARGET to intervene and ask for refund so we can refinance another vehicle and they refused saying I must pay penalties for cancelling that transaction. They can refinance. The vehicle purchase price was R79000 and penalties are R66000.
