Don’t book your Super Car Driving Experience through them!!!

In October last year I baught my husbamd a voucher for a super car driving experience. They only gave available dates for February this year and he booked his date at Zwartkops for 24 February 2019.

We went on holiday for 2 weeks and returned just before the Sunday, the 24th. We haven’t kept track of the calendar and so we only realised at 11:00 on the Sunday that it is the 24th and that he was supposed to be there by 9:00. So yes, we made a human error, but who would do that on purpose?

So I asked them very nicely if we can reschedule his drive for the next session and I just get a “no, it’s against their policy” by Jessica McDonald and who ever her manager is!!!

The reasons they gave me for not rescheduling is completely unacceptable to me and unreasonable . I am aware of the fact that you DON’t even have to book through Gift Experience for the super car driving experience and that you can just pitch there and pay them directly!!! The ONLY reason why I booked through Gift Experience is because I wanted to give my husband something physically in his hands on his birthday!

It will cost them not alot of effort at all to just reschedule him on the next session! I have now paid THOUSANDS of rands that they refuse to give back to me in value - he was not there to use the fuel and service or whatever costs they have and so it is only logical that those funds is still available to him to be able to use the next time. On top of that - his voucher has not expired yet - it is STILL valid!!!

I am EXTREMELY upset and UNHAPPY with their service!!!!

Thanks for the feedback Mariana - we've just found this review of yours now and I'd like to respond. I've checked back through all the correspondence as well as the details sent out with each supercar booking. It's a very limited season and is advertised as being of short duration. Likewise, every booking again receives a confirmation email setting out the detailed Ts and Cs which include the following:

No shows forfeit voucher
No cancellations or changes are possible after a booking is made.

These are tough criteria so we as booking agents for the supercar experience we go to extra lengths to ensure that people are reminded about and do their experience. This includes multiple email reminders - including one sent out the day before as well as an SMS sent out ahead of the booking date. Then, on the day when people haven't pitched for their time-slot, we even go so far as to try contact them by calling to get them onto the date.

We've checked back on the opens for email correspondence and found that emails reminding you of the event were opened at least (if not read). Furthermore, you would have been accommodated still in the afternoon of the 24th if messages had been answered/ responded to. The reason Jess would have been so hard about not accommodating a later date is that there WAS no date after the 24th Feb as this was the last of the season and every effort had been made to remind and communicate before the time to ensure the experience wasn't missed. We can't do more than that. So, even though you feel that you've had a truly bad experience with regard to the Supercar experience which I'm sorry to hear about, I think that I can confidently say that we did everything within our power as the booking agent to ensure that you wouldn't forget the booking before the date.  The fact that this unfortunate incident still occurred to make you feel the strict application of the booking Ts and Cs was unfair and poor conduct, unfortunately cannot be helped.
