Won't Buy Again!!!

How is it that the first thing I find when searching GHD Platinum is thousands of complaints about them stopping working just after their 2 year warranties have run out, yet customer services can only offer me a 15% discount on a new pair (when I can probably find the same or better discount online myself!)????

I have used GHDs for over 15 years and have always said I wouldn't use anything else! I always thought GHDs would last a lifetime and I've never had a problem with them in the past, even now my Platinums have faulted I have gone back to using an old pair I have had for probably over 7 years with no problems!

Looking at all the SAME bad reviews and the fact that they are showing as being discontinued tells me that the flashing light and beeping just out of the warranty period is a well known fault on the GHD Platinums and I cannot believe nothing can be done about it, I can't even get them repaired! I so disappointed and definetely won't be purchasing another pair of £200 straighteners from them for them to break in just over 2 years, they obviously aren't made like they used to be and I will be looking elsewhere!
