GHD price not worth the inferior quality.

We purchased a GHD Arctic Gold product in Dec 2015. It stopped working after just two and a half years. We contacted GHD and they informed us that there is only a two year warranty and they cannot help us. Shouldnt a "superior" product with a "superior" price at least last the claimed seven years which GHD claims to be the lifespan of their product? Next time i would rather buy a cheaper product which will last only two years as well and doesnt cost a ridiculous price.
