GHD - No service/No spares

I am utterly disappointed with the Ghd South Africa ...I have purchased a limited Edition +- 7 years ago. My Ghd stopped working last week and upon enquiring to have this sent in for repairs to Ghd I was told that there is nothing that can be done as there are no spares available. How can a huge company like Ghd not have spares for their items? Surely an alternative solution can be offered to the client instead of just brushing them off like that. I have paid R2800 and really don't think it's fair that nothing can be done considering the fact that I am also willing to pay for the repairs...
