Ghd no response and broke down after using a few times

Had my GHD I’ve used it 5 times if not less not one scratch on it as I have another older one which I use. About 2 weeks ago thought I would use it and it wasn’t working, I called GHD a lady answered took all my details and said she would let me know if it was guaranteed and regarding fixing. Have not even had anything back an email or a call. How can something barely used not be working and no feedback from GHD very disappointing.
