GHD flashes red and doesnt heat up

Hi, I see on many websites and reviews that this red flash and beeping is a common fault in the GHD platinum. im disappointed as mine is sitting with GHD SA currently and its out of "warranty"its disappointing as if this is a known issue and its commonly known for doing this why not give the customer one that is not a iron that is not prone to do this. I see on every single website that this is the issue experienced. I work in a massive motor industry and when we find a known fault we do a recall and repair the fault or replace to satisfy the customer especially knowing its a known fault.

This is troublesome as I see this fault and complaint everywhere
