GHD Eclipse not worth the money

I had a Ghd for 8 years till it broke. I was so impressed with the product that I bought a GHD eclipse 3 years ago. What a big mistake. This iron was alot more expensive and now it just beeps when I put it on. I have taken very good care of it so I dont understand why it is doing that. Ghd just says sorry it's out of warranty and they will give me 20% discount which I feel is not good enough. This particular GHD cannot be fixed. I searched this fault and it seems that it is a factory fault that many eclipse users have experienced. I am very disappointed especially since I was such a loyal customer
