Geyser Boys, Mayville, Pretoria - a company with poor workmanship and no work ethic

<p>Geyser Boys placed water pipes above ground at my property, charging me R2180-00. They cut off a 22mm main supply pipe and connected it to a 15mm pipe (that now went above ground). This reduced the water volume to my property and garden, with the effect that my sprinkler system (immediately after they installed the pipes) could not spray at all. Their plumber insisted that this was due to a leak in the sprinkler system. I had the sprinkler system serviced, but the problem persisted. I repeatedly informed Geyser Boys of this and presented them with physical evidence of the thinner pipe they placed, but they maintained they were not responsible. They even at one stage denied that they had placed the pipes at all. They eventually quoted me a further R2500-00 to replace the 15mm with 22mm pipes, which I declined.</p> <p>A different plumber (not from Geyser Boys) then restored the 22mm pipes. The sprinkler system was immediately functional, as normal water volume was restored.</p> <p>After many telephone calls, meetings and e-mails, Mr Hendrik Nelson doggedly refused to accept responsibility. He did not refund me my money. He could not explain why his plumber cut off a thick main pipe and replaced it with a thin one. He consistently focused on irrelevant facts. His response to this complaint will similar.</p> <p>This company doesn’t have any work ethic. After necessary enquiries, the Institute of Plumbing SA and Plumbing Institute Reg Board could not confirm that GeyserBoys or Nelson is members. Make sure exactly who you are dealing with before you accept a quote and pay monies over.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
