Inferior quility

I installed a GAP geyser about 8 years ago. The geyser had a 5 year warranty. They geyser started leaking last week. Changed the seals, but now I have noticed it is leaking from the casing next to the element. There is a lot of rust and the geyser is in the roof and not in the open. I contacted them and they said at least the geyser lasted for 8 years. They say the type of material used now is not the same as 20 years ago. How can that be? Steel is steel and it must be able to withstand the water and heat.<br> <br> I want to advise people not to buy any GAP appliances. A geyser should last much longer. the company must be smiling, because there must be a lot of insurance claims with these geysers.
