Get Wet Pools - Durban

A quotation was obtained for restoring our pool from Get Wet Pools, dated 29th January 2018. When I asked for a quote for the pipes on my pool, the owner Chay Blackman suggested that we rather do the whole pool, filter and pipes, as she cannot take responsibility for a leak if you do not do the complete pool, to which I agreed even though all the symptoms indicated one of the pipes was leaking. I paid the deposit and the final payment was made immediately as agreed. Chay assured me that if I have any issues I can contact her anytime. I had already noticed while she was finishing the job that the inlet pipe fitting had been stripped, Chay agreed to replace it. About a day later we backwashed the pool, water came gushing out the connection that the new motor had been fitted to. When I raised the issue immediately, I was told she was busy and would attend the following week. Before she came out we began using the pool and noticed several sharp points and edges in the fibreglass, and one actually cut my wife's foot. We also found that the light was no longer working, and the inlet pipe which had been repaired was still stripped and skew. When I raised these issues with Chay, she suggested that I am unreasonable. About a week later some of her employees arrived to supposedly tend the issues, the light now works but the fitting is skew, the inlet pipe is still skew, the backwash line still leaks, and there are still the same sharp points. I have since made several attempts to communicate with Chay telephonically and by email and by whatsapp, requesting her to resolve the outstanding issues, but she refuses to acknowledge or respond and this has been ongoing for the past 3 weeks now. I would not recommend this company to anybody looking for pool services. Despite Chay's initial referral to her company's reputation and her professionalism and good service, her workmanship and conduct does not match the claims she made on presenting the quotation.
