SERIOUS CONCERNS ABOUT SAFETY AND SECURITY I am absolutely appalled and deeply disappointed by the apparent lack of adequate security at the German Club in Edenvale. My son was ****** on the club’s property last night, 22/08/2026 and had his cellphone ******. What makes this even more concerning is that this does not appear to be an isolated incident. There have reportedly been a considerable number of similar incidents in and around the premises, yet it appears that management has done very little, if anything, to meaningfully improve the security measures and protect patrons. People come to your establishment to enjoy themselves, and they pay for that privilege. The very same patrons whose money the club is more than happy to accept should reasonably be able to expect that their basic safety will be taken seriously while they are on your premises. Security is not a luxury. It should be a fundamental responsibility of any establishment that invites members of the public onto its property. It is completely unacceptable that patrons can be targeted by ********s while attending the club and that management appears to have failed to take sufficient preventative measures despite previous incidents. What exactly is being done to protect people? Where is the visible security presence? What preventative measures are in place? And, more importantly, how many incidents need to happen before management takes this seriously? I fully appreciate that a club cannot be held responsible for every ******** act committed by individuals. However, management can and should be held accountable for taking reasonable and effective steps to protect the people who enter and spend money on their premises. If calling this out makes me a “Karen”, then so be it. I would rather be a Karen who speaks up about public safety than remain silent while people continue to be put at risk. This is not simply about a ****** cellphone. It is about the safety and security of every person who walks through those gates. A person should not have to wonder whether they are going to be ******, ****** or harmed simply because they decided to spend an evening at your establishment. The current approach to security is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable and a serious failure of management responsibility. I strongly urge anyone considering visiting the German Club Edenvale to think very carefully about their personal safety and whether the establishment is doing enough to protect its patrons. The club has a responsibility to the public. Taking people’s money while failing to provide an environment where they can reasonably expect to be safe is simply not good enough. German Club Edenvale: your patrons deserve better. Your security measures need to improve — urgently.
