Disgusting

<p>Angel from Gerhard Van Der Merwe Attorneys called me today 12:13pm to try and collect on an account I haven’t heard from in 7 years. I immediately explain to her that I don’t even know if I owe anything on this account anymore as it has been so long, and if I do owe anything on it, it is surely prescribed at this point. I then very nicely ask her not to contact me again.</p> <p>The same consultant, Angel, then calls me back again at 12:15pm (yes, 2 minutes later!). In the second call she is rude, tries to reprimand me and argues with me. I then explain to her, that I refuse to continue speaking to her as I know that firms of this kind try to trick and bully consumers.</p> <p>She then says to me “well I’ll just keep you on the list and the rest of the staff will keep calling you” This is a straight out threat of harassment! I cannot believe the level of professionalism and plain cheek of this consultant!</p> <p>If I receive one more call from Gerhard Van Der Merwe Attorneys, I am going straight to my lawyer.</p>
