Misleading and False Marketing

I've ordered and paid; 16 x 450W Canadian Solar Panels and 1 x Freedom Won Lite 10/8 battery from GEOTY on 21 January 2022. I was telephonically advised of a lead time of 10 days. The first order acknowledgment then came and specified that delivery will only take place on 8 February 2022 (17 days after I’ve secured my order via payment).

I called GEOTY on Friday 4 February to ensure delivery as committed to in the written order acknowledgment and I was telephonically informed that the goods have been dispatched from Cape Town and that I should receive my goods as committed to on 8 February 2022.

On Monday 8 February, when I called to confirm a delivery time, I was informed that the goods never left Cape Town. I received a “change in delivery notification’s stating that delivery will take place on 11 February 2022. GEOTY again failed to deliver and issued another “change in delivery notification” stating that delivery will now take place on 14 February 2022. Needless to say, I never received any goods from GEOTY.

GEOTY lures customers by promoting solar goods at very competitive prices and then simply fails to deliver. I eventually got a refund after much frustration and suffered losses on paying standing time to my installer, and in addition, I was subject to severe price increases after I had to source new goods from a third party more than 30 days after I initially paid GEOTY.

I was promised that GEOTY will refund me for all proven standing time costs incurred based on the relevant service providers' invoice, but GEOTY simply reneged on that commitment again. Stay away from GEOTY as they mislead and abuse consumers. They can simply not be trusted.
