Hospital staff heartless!!!

My aunt Eslina Mo***eng aged 75 who stays in Winterveld became complicated a week after receiving blood transfusion from Dr George Mukhari hospital. Her feet became swollen, she could not walk anymore and completely lost appetite. She became worse yesterday and after numerous futile attempts to get an ambulance we had to drive her to hospital. Upon arrival she was diagnosed with heart failure. We were told to stay in the waiting area to be advised on her progress. We waited since 17h30 yesterday and everytime we went to check on her progress and enquire whether she is being admitted or not, no one bothered so we spent the night sitting in hospital benches! The staff rudely told us to go back to the waiting area they will advise us. Needless to say, until this morning after 6am we remained in the dark. Upon going back to them again this morning the staff said they don't have details as Dr Maluleka has gone to the wards we just missed him! We asked why they did not call us as they were fully aware we were here the whole night since they said we must wait for an update. They mentioned that my aunt is now going to theatre, for what, no one knew! This is completely disheartening as no humanity was shown to us, we were just sidelined and neglected, met with hostility and no one cared. No human being should be treated like that, especially when they are in distress about their lives one! Up until now we do not know what is happening and why she is going to theatre. Where is the spirit of Batho Pele in our hospitals? Your intervention will be highly appreciated and we look forward to a response. Disappointed family
