Poor quality product and more

Bought a corner unit 6 weeks ago..after only 4 weeks there were three issues that arose with it. On the back of both parts of the unit, the metal is showing through the material in ten small places - this was there upon delivery but I accepted the explanation wrongly so, Basil Coetzee, the owner, salesman and delivery person, said if it becomes an issue they would sort it out! Then within 4 weeks the material has frayed along the back of the arm rest - the thin crossfibres are broken. The foam is sagging and developed a concave on the section we sit on mostly. Then week six started with another tiny area on the front of the arm rest where two crossfibres are broken and sticking out also. After only 4 weeks normal wear and tear, I approached the topic with Basil Coetzee, to which I was told I have to pay R375 for him to come look at it and then he will decide what is covered by warranty. He goes on to say that he will ascertain if it is negligence on the customers part! He also goes on to say that the material is not covered by warranty. I would also then have to pay another R375 for it to be returned if they repair it anything. If they decide it is not covered by warranty then I still have to pay R375 for him coming to inspect it. I paid R7999.00 for it and another R1000 for it to be masterguarded by them. When choosing the material we were shown samples of material as every item is custom made - his business model is based solely on custom made - has a small shop and no off the floor sales - all furniture is made in his factory in Port Elizabeth. He advised us on the fact that if we chose a more expensive fabric in his range that it would then last longer before showing wear and tear than a cheaper option. He now goes on to say that custom made furniture is non refundable as per the CPA(consumer protection act). I cant see how I should have to accept anything less than a refund on an item that should last one a good many years, that after only four weeks is such. Can only imagine in 6 months time how much more of the material will break and further foam flattening out will occur. This is surely all indicative of a poor quality product
