I bought the Securitymate 8 Channel DVR Kit Including 8 HD Cameras from Builders warehouse in November of 2020. During December, I had it installed and it worked great. I set up the online account and system password. I also connected my cell phone via the Google app. Then in January, it locked me out of the DVR system. Tried the password again and again. Nothing. Contacted Gentech Industries the importer for support. The guy first forgot about me. Then promised to get back to me with a password from Australia but forgot again. Then he remembered but it didn't work. Tried again with a new reset password. Still nothing. In the mean time, my neighbour had a break-in in February, and we've got the culprit on camera but, unfortunately, we cant get to the HD footage on the DVR. Only SD on Google App. Absolutely pathetic. Now we are in March of 2021. It is too late to return it to Builders for a refund. I certainly don't want to pay to have it decommissioned and then replaced. It is too late to do anything other than go to a reputable Security shop and get a brand that is actually supported. What a disappointment. Just another **** in South Africa. Thanks for vetting your suppliers Builders.
