genric insurance follow up

Follow up of my original complaint against Genric directed to you. After my complaint I took the matter up again with Genric but the wont budge. They keep on referring to a condition which I cannot find any basis for paying (only for "overheating" ) I scrutinized the policy of 2018 and this is what I found 1 According to the item: Category D there is an amount of R6500 which provides for Engine Repairs 2 Under the category :Description of covered components item 1 it is stated: Engen -All internal components excluding decarbonisation and valves (Which is not applicable in my case as the problem was a thermostat ) 3 Item 36 of 2 above : Overheating it is stated : All damage as a result of overheating (no conditions is stated or cross referenced to any other item) 4 After I brought this under the attention of Genric they insist that I am reading the policy incorrect and that they only going to pay for overheating. why I do not know. 5 Underneath are the replies I received from their various Sections (a) "Overheating is only paid and it is based on the age of the vehicle and the kilometers" (b) " If the cause of the incident is overheating all benefits will fall away". (This condition only appears on their latest policy " inception date 1 August 2021 , it is an additional condition of 3 above, and my incident was on the 4th of May 2021) (c) "Only applicable in event of mechanical failure" (d) "Overheating is limited to Category "36" ? I went through this policy a few times and all I see which perhaps could be applicable to my claim is: Benefit table: Included in your policy schedule you will find a table of benefits which displays the maximum amount payable as per incident for your selected plan. The category is calculated using the age and mileage (Kilometers?) of the vehicle at the date of the incident I never received any such schedule and just to make sure that they perhaps slipped when they sent the policy I requested a copy from them after my "incident" but they sent me the very same policy which I received without any schedule.

In any case how can you have two versions for the same incident, and Genric can not tell me how the came to the conclusion of only paying R1500 for the incident

Thank you
