No no
My daughter and son in law is with Genesis. They have to pay cash for qll medicine, pay the hospital upfront for her delivery as she is pregnant and pqy the gyniologist. Every claim she admits takes a few months to be processed and very early this year they had to learn that their medicine wont be covered at the pharmacy as the funds are depleted. The are on the best plan and I cant see the Genesis pays for anything. Dont consider please

Could you please ask your daughter to reach out to us as soon as possible?
None of the feedback that you have provided on this platform sounds right; so we would like to investigate your statements to see if there was any aspect of our service delivery, or application of the benefits in terms of the Scheme Rules, where we fell short. If that was the case, then we will most certainly address it immediately. It could also be that your daughter claimed more than the available funds in her Self Managed Fund and in this instance, it would not be as a result of any wrong doing on our side.
None of our members should ever have to pay upfront prior to going to hospital - so we would really like to investigate this feedback of yours as well. We have contracts with all the private hospital groups and nowhere is an upfront deposit prior to hospitalisation a requirement. It may be that the gynaecologist requires an upfront payment, but as a medical scheme, we have no control over the accounting practices of doctors or specialists as they work for themselves.
Furthermore, our claims are always paid at the end of the month in which a claim was received. If this was not the case, then we will most certainly investigate that as it is most certainly not the norm.
Your daughter (or her husband) can send us an email (stating their membership number) to *** and just mention in the body of the email that it is in connection with your Hellopeter review. One of our managers will then look into their concerns and provide them with the necessary feedback and guidance.
Yours sincerely
