#Genesis Medical Scheme, where is your empathy?
Discharged on Thursday 12th, no hospital payment! I was admitted for a life-threatening emergency. #Genesis, why now, do you want to conduct an investigation which is not pertinent to my hospital stay. You took me on as a member and now? Is this what is commonly called a 'stalling' tactic? I wonder what the #Medical Schemes Council for SA would think of the fact that you are not paying for a PMB? None of the specialists have been paid, blood tests, what is a hospital plan in your terms, #Genesis? Next step is Medical Schemes Council and the Press.

PMBs cover the diagnosis, treatment and management of 271 mostly life-threatening conditions, 26 common chronic conditions, and medical emergencies, such as life-threatening injuries sustained in an accident. The list of conditions is available on the CMS website.

We are not sure why you pretend to be your daughter (our member / the patient).
Be that as it may, the question at hand is this: Has your daughter truthfully declared all her medical conditions and treatment to the Scheme when she joined a few months ago?
We can assure you that there is no "stalling tactic" from the Scheme's side and to this end, we have informed your daughter of our progress to date, as well as the anticipated timeline involved.
As soon as we are in possession of the relevant clinical information, we can assure you that we will perform our functions / deliver on our obligations as required by the Medical Schemes Act.
