GENESIS Medical aid

I recently had an accident at home and after submitting my claims (my first claim to GENESIS medical aid)) - they told me they would only pay a fraction of the bills (around a third) - and if I wanted them to pay more I should go to a government hospital! They were obstructive and wouldn't tell me the exact figure they would pay despite having all the codes and quotes from the doctor and hospital. They expected me to give the go ahead without knowing if I was actually covered and to what extent. <br> <br> They also told me that all medical aids pay the same amount. Which is blatantly untrue. since this issue I have had other people tell me similar stories - seems this is the standard way you will get treated if you choose GENESIS medical aid.
