Genesis **** About What I Am Covered For

I joined Genesis Medical Scheme back in 2013. I paid them close to R1000 per month for their Private Choice option. I was absolutely assured on the phone back when I joined them that I am definitely covered to be admitted to casualties in the event of an emergency at any hospital, the very and only reason why I even opted to join the scheme. Two days ago I had a severe allergic reaction to medication I was prescribed. I was taken to casualties at the Pretoria East Hospital for treatment of the life-threatening reaction. The costs of the treatment totalled just over R1300. I was informed by the hospital that I need to pay them myself and then claim back from the scheme afterwards. This I did. Just to be informed this morning by Genesis that they refuse to cover my costs as casualties are not covered by my plan. When they tried to sell me their trash plan on the phone years ago I was most definitely covered for casualties. Take it from me, stick to a REAL medical aid. Genesis is nothing but a hoax.
