Very expensive machine with terrible quality parts

So this review is not for the motor or the mechanics of the machine, but the inferior accessory parts which have the most wear and tear (i would assume).

My wife and i like to keep our sofa and floors clean and decided to take the plunge and buy a very expensive Genesis Hydrovac Extreme. The machine is around 3 months old and is used twice a week to clean the floors, and once a month to clean the couches. Not even a day after the salesman sold us to the Hydrovac Extreme, did the Extreme 2 come out ... (so why did he sell us an outdated machine, when the new machine was launched soon after).

I am the only one who uses the machine and have taken the care to watch the instructional CD provided with the product, just to make sure that our investment is properly looked after and stored the way it was meant to.

I have now noticed that the water hose for the vacuum part is torn on both, the rubber that connects to the floor cleaner attachment is completely broken, and i have had to replace the floor spray/suction attachment due to its very bad quality and bad design.

I have requested from multiple stores for parts for the machine, but apparently no one has stock, i then requested the newer machine parts as some of them are interchangeable, oh guess what .... those arent released yet until all the parts of the Hydrovac extreme 1 are finished.

I dont understand how this company is run and how they are still in business if that is their mentality.

I regret spending the R5000 to purchase this machine ... i used to have a Kirby machine which broke down after 10 years. Yes, 10 years not 3 months ... unfortunately it had to be retired as there were no parts (and yes no parts because the machine is 10 years old). I understand some parts have wear and tear and things do not stay new forever, however its not even 3 months old and the parts are already breaking. I have had to spend money on replacement parts for an already expensive machine.

I will advise anyone looking to purchase this machine, or even the extreme 2 to NOT PURCHASE either of them.
