R180k non-working generator delivered and repairs refused.

<div>I bought a 66kva generator generator for R180k from these guys. Once connected to the grid and an attempt was made to start it, it became apparent that there was a problem. The fuel gauge wouldn’t register the 60l of diesel I put in, and the fuel pump wouldn’t push the diesel. It was then discovered that the exhaust manifold gasket was missing and the exhaust was completed disconnected. I contacted their support WhatsApp line with images and descriptions of the problem and was ignored. When I tried to call ***** on support I was immediately hung up on. When I got through on their call centre and got to speak to *****&nbsp; I was told to email my difficulties, which I did. I eventually received an email asking me for the same information I had previously supp****, and also that it was likely that I was responsible for dismantling the exhaust!! I was then told I had choices. They could mail me faulty parts or I could agree to their supp**** quote of having a contractor repair the machine. Despite having explained several times that the machine has had zero hours use and arrived non-functional I was made to understand that the warranty stated that I would have to pay for the contractor to repair it! I was met with the stock response, please refer to the prior email and warranty. Im not unreasonable but their arrogance of position and unconcern with doing what’s right has forced me to start legal proceedings while all I badly need is this generator to work. Don’t use their services.</div>

Dear James,

We want to express my sincerest apologies for any frustrating experience you've had with your 66kVA generator purchase from our company. Your feedback is of utmost importance, and we deeply regret the inconvenience and disappointment you may have faced.

The issues you've described, such as the missing exhaust manifold gasket and disconnected exhaust were not present in our Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) testing. We would certainly not expect a generator to function without these critical components.

The difficulties you've faced in reaching our support team and the responses you received are deeply concerning. It's not reflective of the level of service we aim to provide our valued customers, and we truly regret any lapses in our responsiveness.  We are committed to improving our service quality and rectifying any shortcomings.

Best regards,
Customer Care Team

Reviewer Update
This reply you have made to my review has been made eight months later. I was forced to have my lawyer engage with yours in order to get any meaningful response to my issues. The best that the company was prepared to do was to send replacement parts to be fitted at my expense. These parts were never sent. After running the generator for a maximum of 20 hours, the fuel filter split and could not be removed due it having arrived so overtightened I had to get a mechanic in who had to pierce the filter in order to twist it off. It never crossed my mind to engage with your company on this matter after having experienced how you deal with after sales service. Additionally the paint is flaking off the motor and rust bubbles are forming under the paintwork in places already despite it being under cover. Its an FAW for anyone reading this. I had decided just to bite the bullet and move on but after receiving your reply to my review where you suggest again that its impossible that its your fault due to your pre-delivery inspections inspires me to contact my ombudsman. I sincerely recommend no-one engage your services.
