Generator King inferior product and poor after sales service
Purchased a 44 kW Generator from Generator King in July 2022. Shortly after delivery rust started to appear on the generator enclosure and has become progressively worse over time. Reached out to Customer Services at Generator King for assistance in resolving the issue. Enquired about possibility of refurbishing the existing enclosure (at own cost) or purchasing a replacement enclosure. "Customer Services" representative totally indifferent and advised that they were unable to assist. Have been advised that the rust issue on these enclosures is a common occurrence and that these generators are not specified for outdoor applications (not specified at time of purchase). DO NOT recommend this company as the product supp**** was of an inferior quality and their after sales service is non existent.

It is important to note that the generator unit purchased by you is specified for outdoor applications. The generator body is made of mild steel material and powder coated for outdoor weather conditions.
However, the canopy is not rust proof in highly corrosive environments such as the one that you operate in. A special material is required in highly corrosive environments known as 3CR12.
We will address the support team in their perceived lack of care towards you to ensure we continue to improve our service and processes for all of our valuable customers.

In order to identify a highly corrosive environment an environmental survey needs to be conducted prior to the purchase enquiry, we do not, however, specialise in environmental surveys or identification of site requirements and needs.
We specialise in the supply of standard build generator units only and only specialised builds such as that of the 3CR12 canopy unit when instructed. Our team will not be able to identify whether an environment is highly corrosive until such time as the generator is reported with excessive rust or if our customers identify this prior to the purchase enquiry.
