VERY VERY BAD AND POOR SERVICE

I hope this email finds you well. I hereby lodge a complain about my car (Opel corsa 1.0 T 2015
model). On the 28 of June 2016 I took my car for 15000 km service at Solly’s General Motors( GM)
Middelburg for a day. I collected my car the very same date, after 2 weeks from service date my car
started reducing speed by itself while driving to the lowest speed of 40 k/h. On the 4th week the
engine signal, ESC Service, Spanner signal, slippery when wet signal. On the 02 of August 2016 it
started smoking from the exhaust black smoke. On the same day it just stopped and it couldn’t start
again. I then called my insurance( budget) and a tow truck(Billas motors) was organised by my
insurance. It was towed to Polokwane GM. I collected my car on the 08 of August 2016. The
feedback from Polokwane about the incident was that the engine oil was filled too much and it lead
to oil leaked to spark plugs. And as per Polokwane GM they have drained the oil and cleaned the
spark plugs. On the 10 of August I left my home in Sekhukhune and on my way the very same signals
appeared again and immediately it stopped and didn’t want to start again. I called GM road
assistance and sent Van Wettens Tow truck and it was towed to GM in Groblersdal. At GM in
Groblersdal it was assessed and the very same feedback about too much engine oil was discovered
and it was drained again. And I was given the vehicle same day to proceed with my trip. I went
straight to work on the same day as I was reporting for duty for night shift. The following morning as
I was starting the car after night shift, the very same signals appeared and a black smoke from the
exhaust came but it never started. I then called GM road assistance again and it was towed by
Monnaco towing to Solly’s General Motors in Middelburg and I travelled with them as I didn’t have
an alternative transport. When we arrived at Solly’s General Motors they tried several times to get it
started and eventual it started but the black smoke was coming out from the exhaust. The technician
test drive it and it was parked at the workshop for diagnostic purpose but no fault was detected.
They decided that I must leave my car and they issued a courtesy car. At the moment I am in contact
with Solly’s General Motors and they said they suspect that the fuel in the vehicle is contaminated as
they cant detect the problem and they wanted authorisation from me to take out he fuel tank for
investigation. But now they said if they find out that the was contaminated fuel all the expenses will
be covered by me, but I only experienced this problem after the 15000 km service from Solly’s
General Motors. How can I be liable for expenses for a new car that experienced problems after
service, please advice. The reason I am sending you this mail is I have been in contact with all the
stakeholders(GM customer care/desk) below you an I didn’t get helped. I called the dealer where I
bought the car in Fury rivonia GM and they said they are not liable because I received the car from
them in a good condition. I hope and wish this matter will be resolved urgently.
