********* Behaviour from Isuzu South Africa

On June 2017 I purchased two brand new Isuzu Double Cab bakkies for business use. On 5th November 2017 one of the bakkies engines seized. The mileage on the vehicle is 9160km. After two months of pain trying to get them to repair the vehicle, ISUZU now tell me that they will only pay for 50% of the cost to replace the engine as they feel that the engine was over-speed.

Firstly, I drove the vehicle myself for 90% of the time and I don't drive fast. Secondly, I have Netstar tracker on the vehicle which gives me a comprehensive breakdown of speed that the vehicle is doing at all times. The information from tracker shows that the vehicle never went more than 155km EVER!

I have asked for evidence from Isuzu to show me that the engine has over-speed. All they sent me was pictures of the damaged pistons from the engine. Isuzu's argument is that if two pistons broke then it shows that I drove the vehicle after the first piston broke.

My argument is that if the first piston broke and if I did drive unknowingly a broken vehicle then how can you still justify negligence from my part when the engine BROKE! Whether I drove the vehicle for another 10km or another 10,000km, the fact still remains that a new engine just doing 9000km, BROKE!

Isuzu warranty department is trying to pass the buck onto myself and are trying to find excuses not to replace a engine that is only four months old.

This ********* behavior has caused me to lose business and has caused a huge financial loss to myself and family. My heart is sore and I wish that these people could understand the amount of stress that they have caused for me and its these sort of things that can cause people to commit suicide, all because Isuzu does not want to fulfill their rightful obligation as a vehicle brand.
