Terrible Service

I had purchased and serviced my 2015 Opel Corsa at Williams Hunt Randburg. Before my 45000km service, I had a warning poip up reading "service vehicle soon" upon which the vehicle looses momentum despite accelaration. I had reported this incident on the 45000km service, the car was returned to me and drove normnally for 3 weeks before the same problem appeared again. I had returned the car to the dealership, a software update was done but the prob;em still persisted. I have taken the car back 4 times already, this being the forth, to which I had to contact GM South Africa. My Case had been allocated to Lungile and I was given the reference number ********** 599 last Wednesday (14 Dec 2015). Lungile had promised to folllow up with me regarding the progress of my car ther following Monday as I was given a Chev. Spark as a courtsey car by the dealership. I had contacted the dealership on Thursday (15 Dec 2016) to which they presumed the issue was sorted out and that I could collect my vehicle. Within 2km from the dealership, the light had come back on the vehicle had no momentum as it does when this problem arises. I therefore returned the car to the dealership on Monday (19 December 2016), I requested from Lungile to organise me another Opel as a couresy car to which she told me that it was not possible due to GM SA relationship with the car hiring agency and that I would get whatever car was available. I had agreed and was told to return my car to the dealership for a call to be logged before I could get another vehicle to which I did. I explained to the service advisor and service manager that I did not want to drive the Chev. Spark again because it was not within the range I was used to, out of courtsey, they have provided me with a Chev. Cruze until my car would be fixed.

On Monday (19 December 2016), I had to call Lungile to follow up (10:22am) despite her assurance that she would assist. I specifically said that I needed the car before 4pm. I had called back at (12:27) to enquire about the coursey car and was told that itll take a while and I'd be contact to come and collect the vehicle (heaven alone knows how without any transport). She had only returned my call at 3.49pm on Monday to confirm that I had already received a vehicle from the dealership and that I do not require GM SA hired car. Also, at the time that i had requested a car, I was asked about my holiday dates which insinutaed that I could only get a car during that time that I would be out of Johannesburg. I'm not sure how I was expected to get around between now and then. She advised that I will be contact NEXT WEEK by another agent as she would be on leave.

I had folowed up myself with the service manager of Williams Hunt (Gavin) on Tuesday (20 December 2016) and had been advised that they had test drove my car, the fault has been replicated and they suspect the turbo flange is leaking but they're still in the process of inspecting.

Today (21 Dec 2016) I had called the dealership again to follow up on the progress of my vehicle and was advised that they are waiting on GM SA to tell them what the next process should be. I then call Lungile to enquire about this, she tells me she's not involved, the issue is between GM SA (Port Elizabeth) and Williams Hunt South Africa. I asked that she transfer me to PE branch and she tells me she doesnt have the number/she can't. I frustratedly explained to her that I need assistance, the delaership is waiting on GM SA and I am the one pushing for my vehicle to be fixed as soon as possible. She then tells me to call customer care to which I had to remind her that she IS customer care. She then tells me she's in Joburg and the delaership is dealing with PE, she has a lot of cases and all of them are priority, she cannot follow up daily with just one case. I am highly annoyed because I constantly have to follow up with a person who couldn't be bothered by my problem and has no idea what is actually happening. Accordign to her, at this point, my car is still being test driven by the dealership and being diagnosed. (clearly there is minimal communication there).

I now have to call Opel (PE) myself to try and get my issue resolved because it seems the matter is only urgent to me. Yet this is a fault with Opel.

I would like to go on Holiday with the car that I had purchased or be compensated for this inconvenience that I am experiencing over the past 3 weeks. It is costing me alot of money making these calls, using my fuel going back and forth to the dealership and being inconvenienced by not being able to go to on a long distance trip 2 weeks ago and again now because my car is not fixed and I've been given a car with a bigger tank that's heavier on fuel.
