GM failing to fix its own car

I took my mother's car to GM in Richards Bay by truck as they car could not move. I waited for a week being told that they were checking what was wrong and will remove the gearbox and gears could not change. After a week I was told that there was no technician who could remove the gearbox, as a result, they will take it to the third party somewhere in Durban. I find this pathetic and very sick. A GM branch saying they cannot remove a gearbox from their own car. How do you train your technicians? Even worse, when I told them that I cannot risk by agreeing to such a condition where you will be taking the car to someone who is not even a GM specialist, GM demanded that I pay for the diagnostic. What diagnostic when you failed to even remove the problem part in the car? The truck that I hired had to turn back and had to pay them another amount sending them back to fetch the car. <br> <br> Why such an inconvenience. Why is GM selling a car that even its own technicians cannot afford to fix. This is a Chev Orlando. <br> <br> I think you should close shops and train your technicians first. This is pathetic.
