WORST MEDICAL AID IN SA !!!
UTTERLY DISGUSTING, UNPROFESSIONAL, NEGLIGENT & WRECKLESS SERVICE OFFERED WHEN GEMS SUSPENDED AN ELDERLY, ILL, ALZHEIMERS-DEMENTIA PATIENT'S MED.AID WITH NO VALID REASON!!! APART FROM AN ERROR ON THEIR PART WHICH THEY FAILED TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR!!

NB: 2nd Complaint
GEMS HAS NOT RESOLVED ISSUE 952186 AND FAILED TO UPLIFT my frail, elderly, sick mother's medical aid who relies on CRUCIAL medication for her survival and to promote the WELL-BEING of her health (Alzheimers-dementia-Schitzophrenia).
In light of the rapid spread of the Corona virus, the latest government regulation as of today, 22/3/2020 states that ALL Chronic patients MUST RECEIVE a 3 MONTHS supply of their CHRONIC Medication and a 6 month doctor's script!!
Should anything happen to my mother, nothing will deter my intention to sue GEMS for millions of rands for damages caused including current deterioration of my mother's condition.
The Principal Officer of GEMS Dr.Stanley Moloabi has been approached several times. He assured me that he would attend to this rather urgent matter and pleaded with me NOT TO WASTE MY MONEY ON LAWYERS, however, his ****/false promises constantly prevail.
GEMS advised me on 2/1/2020 of an amount due. (All calls were recorded with reference numbers, times & names of employees submitted to GEMS in my complaint) Arrangements were made and faithfully honoured by myself with CORRECT AMOUNTS PAID in Jan, Feb & March.
GEMS then suddenly demanded an additional amt of +- 5000 which was not discussed on 2/1/2020!!
So WHERE DOES THIS AMOUNT COME FROM?
They were negligent because they did not make the necessary changes after I changed from EMERALD to TANZANITE effective 1/2/2020. All evidence was submitted to GEMS but they refused to accept responsibility and ACCOUNTABILITY for their huge mess-up!!!
The Accounts dept.(Yvette Smith) falsely accused me of ONLY changing to Tanzanite on 18/2/2020!!!
MANAGEMENT has no respect nor concern for the sick and elderly as they all seem to have a Don't-Care-Attitude!!
