Worst Authorisation Service
Good afternoon,
Hope all is well with you. I really am in need of urgent assistance. I have been contacting GEMS since last week Friday, 01 July 2022, regarding my wisdom teeth removal authorisation number. The doctor practitioner sent the request of this authorisation number per email (***) on Tuesday, 28 June 2022, for the authorisation number to be given before the operation date of Tuesday,05 July 2022. This allows GEMS with enough time (48hours) to analyse and work the request. However, some consultants claimed that this email was not received on the date and therefore was sent to a consultant’s private email who then ensured that the email was received. Today is Monday, 4 July 2022, and still as of yet there are no progress on this number. I have phoned this morning with the whole thing still being under investigation. The consultant asked whether I can contact them after 2pm, which I did, however, still no reply and still no progress. Now, I have been asked to wait until the end of working day to get this number. A small thing, which is really easy to finish, however, is leaving me frustrated and anxious.
I feel quite upset about the manner on how this whole situation has been dealt with especially with some consultants just pushing dead on a call. As a GEMS client, I feel strong to not make use of GEMS in the near future, and I will definitely make sure that other individuals do not make use of GEMS either as bad word-of-mouth can cause a company great loss and misfortune.
I as a client of GEMS was indeed left alone in a difficult time and a time of need. Isn’t that why you have a medical aid ? A medical aid is supposed to help their clients and provide them with their so called promises, which GEMS did not do.
