Won't pay claim or medicine - I apparently don't exist

I have been to the psychiatrist three times now and Gems hasn't paid the claim. The first time they told me they cannot find me on the system. Then I sent through all the info again and they guy told me they have paid the services. On Friday I went to the psyciatrist again and they told me Gems has not paid anything. I'm so upset with this stupid medical aid - I pay thousands per month and almost never claim. They are also giving me so much grief over the meds I am supposed to take, they want me to take a generic, since they don't cover the proper medicine...if that is the issue, i will gladly pay the difference, but do you think they are open to that. I'm pretty sure our money gets ****** and that's why there are so many complaints about claims etc.

I am reporting this to the health council as well.

Lelani van Rooyen

member number ********** 74
