Won't cover potential life saving anti-D prophylax

Hi there,<br> I am A- blood group and my husband is O+. This can cause Hemolytic Disease of the Newborn/ Fetus if a prophylactic anti-D is not given. <br> One is required to have one injection at 28 weeks and again at 34 weeks.<br> Because I still have funds available for medicine most of the first injection was covered (+_R700). However now that my funds are depleted the maternity call centre said they do not cover the injection at all.<br> Can some one please explain to me how you can justify not providing a life saving injection???? This should be part of the PMB of pregnancy and should 100% be covered.<br> <br> I would like a clinician or one of your health team to please contact me urgently about this. This is unacceptable.
