VERY POOR SERVICE

<p>Due to very poor service since I joined GEMS more than a year ago, I just had enough and will leave GEMS at the end of January 2017 for a beter Medical Aid where I know the service is excelent. I agree with so many members that GEMS must close down. Rules, Regulations and Medical Aid Act don't stop them to do as they like to do, it is only applicable when it suits them. I am for many years in the medical industry and had deal with many medical aids in my career and belong to others in the past but never experienced such bad service and people who don't know what they are doing. I don't think they know where they are going to. Member have no say in anything, members are only there to pay their controbutions every month. I rather pay privately outside for a medical aid where you don't have to fight all the time. There is beter medical aids and with beter prices and beter benefits and who have humanity and good customer service, GEMS can't say that. GEMS was very good when they start but now it is the worst medical aid to belong to. Their actions and treatment forsed me now to go back to my old medical aid, this is the best for my health.</p>
