Very disappointed GEMS member

I was scheduled to have a c-section which was medically induced because I raptured a retinal vessel in my right eye and had to have laser surgery done, GEMS did not approve the procedure and indicated that I had elected to have a c-section even though I supp**** them with the motivation letters from both my eye specialist and gynecologist indicating why I needed to have the procedure they still did not wave the R10 000 Copayment that I had to pay before having the procedure, I was informed by gems that I should pay the Copayment and have the procedure than they would reimburse me after their medical advisor had gone through my paper work, I am frustrated and I feel I am being taken as a fool because I am being sent from pillar to post even though I have submitted the relevant and requested medical reports and medical motivation letters, this is the worst service I have ever recieved in my life, please look into this **** and shame of a medical aid because they are giving clients false information and trying to find ways to enrich themselves even though a monthly membership fee is already being paid to them.
